Before and after Christmas, almost New Year's!

Katie's laundry ready for the washer, especially those giant feet!

This was the finished product (see the previous post for "making of") for Pete's siter, Cathy, hand prints from both of the kids.

Trevor at home in his car next to Liberty and Kevin's tree. This was a quick visit on the Saturday before Christmas.

Katie and I took a quick trip to Las Vegas to escape the LA area for a few days... We found the unusual sign in our room. Guess too many people were confusing the fire sprinker for the closet? Here's a tourist posing in front of the figures at the Luxor Katie checking out the images on the ceiling and 250KW sound system on Fremont street (we used to be able to drive up and down this street in downtown Vegas). Katie playing Lucky Lemmings, but the darned Lemmings weren't very lucky this time!

The centerpiece for our Christmas dinner table. Great present to Katie from Jennifer.

The stockings were hung by the fire, all ready for Santa to visit during the night (note there is one for Kevin too). Beau checking to make sure no candy made it into any of the packages.

Beau just tooooo worn out from present checking to figure out which remote he wants to use.

Kaitlyn found out she can see her reflection in the living room table (she really likes mirrors).

Kaitlyn riding her new tricycle up and down the walk. Watch out Beau, she doesn't signal.

Chirstmas dinner

Kaitlyn checking out the building of some of the Rose Parade floats while grandpa holds her. We visited one of the several places building floats on Saturday.

These are billed as the worlds longest stemmed roses!

Closeup of one of the Roses

Grandpa (self portrait) giving Kaitlyn a better view of the floats (she really enjoyed messing up his hair!)

Flowers all lined up and in their vials (with special fluid - soda?) to be placed on floats.

Look at the detail on this guy, we heard that it took several people over a week to place all those seeds on him.

Yes, it does get cold in California, Kaitlyn and her blanket in front of the den fireplace.
