Kaitlyn and Katie walking down the gangplank to the Carnival Paradise for a five day cruise to Catalina and
Ensenada, Mexico

Kaitlyn eating her Jello for the buffet lunch after we boarded the ship.

Kaitlyn with her new sunglasses (received from the camp
onboard the ship) and the Queen Mary in the background.

Lifeboat drill. Note the wristband on her right wrist (she had to wear that for the duration of the trip - showed which lifeboat station she had to attend).

Katie and Kaitlyn on the deck as we sailed out of Long Beach harbor for the overnight trip to Catalina (all 26 miles).

Kaitlyn dancing during the sailing

Kaitlyn before breakfast (she and Grandpa went before Grandma got up) watching the
PWC fly by the ship with the shore boat from Catalina too.

Lunch! Special desert from our dinner waitress while she worked in the
buffett.

Grandpa and Kaitlyn after her nightly shower.

More dancing for Kaitlyn on stage.

The cabin stewards assembled all of Kaitlyn's toys on her bed. Her shirt says "Everyone loves a brown eyed girl"

Huge Mexican flag that greeted us in
Ensenada (down town is behind the flag).

Katie and Kaitlyn about to enter Papas and Beer at
Ensenada (we exited just as fast).

Kaitlyn and friend in downtown
Ensenada.

The ship in the foreground is the old Catalina Ferry that is half sunk in the harbor at
Ensenada (supposed to be raised and returned to Catalina sometime).

Kaitlyn and the waitress that spoiled her rotten! She was from Odessa,
Ukraine, the area where Kevin is.

Kaitlyn at breakfast, grandpa fed her well, French Toast, Bacon, Scrambled Eggs and lots of Apple Juice!

In front of her favorite glass elevator in the
Atrium (we had to always ride all the way down and all the way up no matter what floor we wanted).

We had a pleasant surprise Thursday morning at breakfast. Bobbie (who Pete met through Mike Kaliczak some 30 years ago) was on the cruise with friend, Greg! Here we all are celebrating.

Katie watching Kaitlyn eat lunch.

Kaitlyn eating, face painting was done at camp so she would look like Freddie the ship's mascott.

Kaitlyn not too happy as Katie does her hair for dinner.

We found this snake on the bed our last night aboard, Thursday.

Kaitlyn decided in the middle of the night that she wanted to sleep on the floor - we almost stepped on her (it was dark).

The glass elevator from the bottom.
Just as we were getting off the ship, Kaitlyn has a last look at the elevator.
