We're off on our Mega Sea Doo trip

We left Hacienda Heights at 9AM this morning for our Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, MN state fair (staying at Katie's sister Chris'), Lloyds and Houghton visit in Greentop, MO, Branson, MO (Lee and Rose Ann joining us), Lake Powell trip. The above shows how we are traveling (covers are off the boats in this old picture from Laughlin).

Passed right through Las Vegas (didn't even stop at Fry's!) We made a brief stop in Mesquite, NV for Katie to hit some slot machines and Pete to change the truck's batteries (they were 4 years old and not holding a charge).

114 degrees while changing the batteries, but only took 15 minutes (had the right wrench in my toolbox)

After buying diesel for $3.99 a gallon, we looked for Katie's friend Linda Barnes' new house in Cedar City (we didn't have her phone number) and we must have driven right by it, but no luck.

We're staying at the Butch Cassidy Best Western in Beaver, Utah. Off to Jackson, WY tomorrow morning... long day ahead.
